This County Limerick garden which is almost 100 years old and home to a large collection of plants, trees and shrubs is open to visitors.
The garden is owned by Tim and Helen O’Brien who are passionate about plants! Come and visit and get some interesting garden ideas for your own garden.
Knockpatrick garden is almost 100 years old and was started by Tim’s father in the 1920’s. Some of the older trees and shrubs include magnolias, crinodendrons, beech and red horse chestnuts. The maturity of the older trees and shrubs offer wonderful shelter to more tender shrubs and plants.
The gardens are a haven for enthusiasts and contain a variety of colour through the collections of rhododendrons, camellias, azaleas, bamboos, primulas, poppies and many varieties of tree ferns and grasses.
The entrance fee is 7 Euros. Open most days from 2-6pm. Groups welcome. Call 069-65256.
